• Had a 2 day job in Kingman AZ so instead of driving I flew Gregs Tomahawk N9916T there monday am then back Tuesday late afternoon, Used iPad with foreflight and Air Nav Pro for flight, and MotionX with Satellite to Navigate around the Taxi ways at KIGM.

• Thursday I met with Bob and we went up in his Piper Cherokee N779LK to get me checked out in it so I can start flying it when I want and it’s available. We flew some maneuvers, slow flight, and pattern work, Bob said he was very comfortable with me flying his plane. At $35 hr dry it is slight cheaper than the Tomahawk which is $50 hr dry but only burns about 5gal hour. Bob and I had so much fun flying together that we went up again on Friday to do some pattern work.I had some issues with my Lightspeed headset in the Cherokee. Bought an adapter for Stero to Mono at Radio Shack and ….

• Elisabeth and I flew to Sky Ranch

• Sent deposit to Rainbow Aviation and started buying some more tools

• 79M fixed after fuel leak. Flew a little bit.

This is a quick podcast of a live recording of Monika Patrillo, the creator of the aviation movie Flyabout. and her introduction and Q&A after the first Denver screening of the movie at the newly renovated movie theatre at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum on August 18th, 2010.

Apologies for the audio quality -- it was 100% my fault [Nate: DenverPilot, that is!].  I had the portable recorder set to the completely wrong mode (highly compressed MP3 format).  I've done what I could to clean it up, but I don't think any of our feelings would be too hurt if you hit "skip" and move on to Episode 21! I had a funeral of a family member to attend the following day, so my mind was elsewhere.

Frankly, just go see her great movie at one of her showings, and hear her tell these stories in person! It's well worth it!  And it was great to meet Monika at Oshkosh this year!

• Attending the Colorado Avalanche game with his kids.

• Received my Scheyden glasses with my RX lenses and they rock. The clarity is unreal. 
• Sat in a Kitfox IV in Missoula MT last week, weather was too bad to go up. Also looked at a Zenith Aircraft STOL CH750 that is under construction, and we are about 95% sure it is what we want to build. SO I ordered and received the info pack on it. Now I just need get a ride in one. 
• I have scheduled a tour of Zenith Aircraft in Mexico, MO and weather permitting a ride in a CH 750
• We are Cleaning and organizing garage and tools in preparation of building an airplane.
• We had breakfast with instructor this morning and the Tomahawk N9916T should be back on line in a week or so. April is full for me planning to start up training again in may. Although once it is up I will be flying some.

Nate

• Night currency in 79M after last show taping.  9 landings, all pretty good.  Practiced different types.  
• Been ultra-busy with CAP training, flew as Safety Pilot for another CAP member on Saturday, will participate in Squadron SAREX next week.
• Oshkosh planning meeting with "Captain Barry" on April 11th, one of the other owners in 79M, we'll be attending the Cessnas2Oshkosh training session at KFNL on May 8th, and we're registered and on the list to join the Cessna mass arrival at Oshkosh on the Saturday prior to the show!  Capt. Barry has "seniority" so he'll be PIC for the arrival at OSH, I'll be PIC for the departure on whatever day we leave, if all goes as planned.
• Tried "Robertson Method" takeoffs in 79M yesterday.  Freight elevator!

• Ran RC & glider Air Races at my daughter's school carnival & was beat by a bunch of kids under 4 years old. But my daughter ruled the course.

Doug

• Went flying with my buddy Alan in his Cherokee 180 last Saturday - found out you need to be fully recovered from an ear infection to enjoy the flight. 
• Young Eagles last Saturday - 27 EAA301 set a record 51 kids flown, 16 pilots.  Kids had to Improve their grades to earn the ride.  Very cool. 
• Sky Raider Aviation expands to APA- Glad to see LSA rental and Sport Pilot training exand to APA.   
• Open House at Sky Raider Aviation on March 13th. 
• Recorded a couple of interviews for future podcasts.

Representatives from KVGT tower and KLAS approach say incursions on the rise from transient pilots leaving KVGT as per Northtown 2. If flying out of North Las Vegas airport KVGT read the plate. Verify you are not using the Boulder plate which is right next to it. From any runway make your turns until you are on heading 250 then turn right on the 313 from KLAS.

Dave answers our questions about flying the F-22, sprinkled in with his own experiences flying the F-15, T-37, and T-38.  Dave is currently stationed at Nellis AFB in a non-flying but very important role, and we appreciate him taking the time to talk with us.  Dave jumps in and answers both some common questions, and also a few questions you may never have heard posed to an F-22 pilot.
